PHA SA is a NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION

In many patients, PH is usually a permanent condition. In these patients PH usually does not improve by itself or disappear and although medical treatment can be very effective, medications do not usually cure PH.

Medications to treat PH do however allow PH patients to feel better; have fewer symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, tiredness, oedema, faintness, and chest pain; will allow patients to lead more active, fulfilling lives.

PHA SA is registered as a non-profit organization and we need funds to help create awareness - costs that are often not covered by medical aids.

In addition, supporters like you make it possible for PHA SA to provide things such as the up keeping of our website, advocacy and awareness programmes, printed information materials, envelope of hope which include educational material and support groups meetings.

Every donation - even a small amount - will help us in our endeavours to build our PH community; to educate and create awareness of pulmonary hypertension amongst the general public; and to help a PH patient live a better quality of life.
